As you are probably aware, Tom 'The Hammer' Delay has decided to resign from Congress amidst much corruption, which he most likely is embroiled.

However, as founder of 'Pay to Play Politics’, his influence is most likely to be resurfaced rather than rejected.

In other words, Tom will continue to wield his iron sledgehammer with little resistance from D.C or the media, and business will be conducted as usual in the halls of power.

After all, Bush thinks of Delay as a 'Great Ally', and his House Majority Leader replacement, Boehner, says that Tom Delay "...has served our nation with integrity and honor."

Besides, who'd dare to anger the 'Godfather'.

DeLay said he "spent a lot of time praying about his decision [to resign his position in Congress] and that his personal relationship with Jesus drives his day-to-day actions."
He said. that when he was booked on the Texas charges "I said a little prayer before I actually did the fingerprint thing, and the picture".

"My prayer was basically: 'Let people see Christ through me. And let me smile.'
Now, when they took the shot, from my side, I thought it was fakiest smile I'd ever given.
But through the camera, it was glowing.
I mean, it had the right impact.
Poor old left couldn't use it at all."

Now doesn't his piety just make you want to go out and invade another country?

Well folks, when you can't work within the parameters of a budget, get rid of it!

On March 16, 2006, the Senate voted to allow the national debt to bloat to nearly $9 trillion. BushCo. and his pals in Congress have dumped about $30,000 debt into everybody's lap, including our children and their children.
And when I say 'everybody', I'm excluding large corporations, and the very wealthy. They're shielded.

But just like any wayward weight watcher, our national belt will need to be continously let out in order to accomodate a glutoneous appetite.

The bill now goes to George Bush for his signature.

BushCo. continues to decide our fate ... and it ain't lookin' good folks.

A Poopy Arrangement

In the past nine years,
Congress has given itself eight pay raises.

Guess how many times it raised the minimum wage for hardworking Americans during that same time period ...

ZIP!

Congress members will average $162,000 this year, whereas those who must sustain themselves on a minimum wage will average $10,712.

The minimum wage holds at $5.15 an hour, which by the way is what it was back in 1997.

In order to keep up with inflation, the minimum wage should be at least $8.88 an hour.

If we the people are paying congress members their wages, that means we're their employers.
So why aren't we the ones deciding how much they get paid? Can you imagine any of our employers putting up with employees giving themselves pay raises and deciding the amount, especially when it means that the employee makes far more than their boss!?

And as far as I can see, our employees are doing a piss-poor job, so I say it's time for a pay CUT!

Bush is my sheperd, I shall be in want.

He leadeth me onto the paths of unemployment for the party's sake.

Yea though no weapons of mass destruction have been found, thou countinueth to fear evil.

Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy deficit spending, they do discomfort me.

Thou anointeth me with never-ending debt,

And my days of savings and assets are all over.

Surely poverty and hard living shall follow me all the days of thy administration

And my jobless child shall dwell in my basement forever.

Cindy Sheehan and Beverly Young Removed By Police

Police Remove Sheehan From SOTU address

WASHINGTON - Cindy Sheehan, mother of a fallen soldier in Iraq, and Beverly Young, wife of Rep. C.W. Bill Young of Florida (chairman of the House Defense Appropriations subcommittee), were both removed from the gallery before Bush's 'State of the Onion' speech, all because of the t-shirts they were wearing.

Ms. Sheehan's t-shirt read, "2245 Dead. How many more?"

Ms. Young's read, "Support the Troops - Defending Our Freedom."

Mrs. Young was sitting about six rows from first lady Laura Bush when she was asked to leave.

"The police said that I was protesting," Beverly Young later told the St. Petersburg Times. "I said, "Read my shirt, it is not a protest.' They said, 'We consider that a protest.' I said, 'Then you are an idiot.'"

Indeed Ms. Young, the gallery was packed with "Power Idiots" last night.
